The most tremendously moving things as a maternity photographer is the chance to work with a woman planning and styling her session, then watch her become a mother and take on one of the biggest roles of her life. All the emotions, hard work, and anxiety inevitably comes together and a perfect bond unfolds.

I met Alexis a year ago when I began building my maternity portfolio, she was one of the first moms I worked with for her maternity session. I was lucky enough to be embraced by the entire family as their family photographer, so when Alexis let me know her mom was coming to town to spend time with her new grand baby, Zion, I was honored to document the 3 gorgeous generations.

I loved the behind the scenes footage Adisa was able to capture for us, seeing this session in video takes me right back to the day and I think that’s the beauty of in-studio videography.

The day is a blur but I’m blown away with what we were able to create in the time we were given and I’m so grateful to watch this family grow and blossom in all ways!
